Born and School education IN Varanasi, Completed B. Tech (Mech) from IIT, BHU in 1987. Same year joined as Management Trainee (Tech) in Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) in their Marketing Vertical Known as Central Marketing Organization. Worked in many places throughout India like Bokaro, Kanpur, Gwalior, Trichy, Nagpur, Ghaziabad in Field marketing.
Involved in Market Research at senior position.Co-authored India Steel Vision 2012 Report of World Steel Organization, Brussels.Member of Core Committee for report on End Use of Steel and Steel Consumption in Rural India undertaken by Joint Plant Committee, Ministry of Steel. Worked as Executive Assistant to Director (Commercial), SAIL from Dec, 2013 to May,2016.
Joined as Executive Director (Materials Management), Bokaro Steel Plant in Dec,2018 and washead of Purchase, Plant Marketing and C&IT of Bokaro Steel Plant. Later, entrusted with additional functions of Personnel & administration including Town Admin at Bokaro and BSL Mines. Undertook advance management program at IIM, Bangalore and HEC, Paris.
Presently serving as Board of Directors in SAIL refractories Co Ltd (SRCL), Salem and SAIL – SCL Kerala Ltd., Cochin – a Joint Venture of SAIL and Kerala Govt.Also served as Director on Board of Mjunction Services ltd for 3 years.Mjunction is a 50:50 Joint Venture of SAIL and Tata Steel and is biggest ecommerce Services provider in terms of total Transaction value. Joined as Head of Salem Steel Plant in June,2022.
